ZAM BUKKA MURDER.

ACCUSED BEFORE THE COURT. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Opotiki, Nov. 17. The brothers Peeti Topi and Rutene Topi were handcuffed together .nd brought to Opotiki in a special launch last night. At the Police Court this morning, before a Justice of the Peace, the prisoners were formally charged with the murder of Paul Zambukka on or about November 4, and remanded until November 25. Accused are being taken to Gisborne today, and will be brought back to Opotiki when the inquest is re-opened. Prisoners have made no statement. They submitted to arrest without trouble. They are well-known in the district, having carried out bush, contracts under the title of Topi Brothers. Maraenui is a native settlement close to the Motu River, the scene of the murder.
