A DEFIANT PROTEST. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received Nov. 17, 5.5 p.m. Berlin, Nov. 16. The newspapers protest defiantly against the inter-Allied Commission's order that the works of the Deussehe Werke Company, which was formed to .take over the arms factories formerly owned by the State, must close on November 30. The papers accuse the Allies of trying to destroy German industry. The workmen in one branch declare they will not destroy the arms unless compelled by force to do so.
