The Wheat Controller, replying to Auckland criticism, states that there should be sufficient wheat available in New Zealand to meet the demand until next harvest, which will be available in January. Therefore there is ro intention to issue further permits to Import wheat from Australia. DUDLEY ROAD SALE. The sale at Newton King, Ltd.’s Dudley Road yards on Wednesday drew a fair attendance, and the yards were well filled with sheep and cattle. The tone of the market generally was quiet, tliough most of the lines offered were disposed of. In sheep, fresh forward wethers sold at from 5s lOd to 4s, hoggets 5s 9d to 6s, empty ewes up to 5s Id, ewes and lambs 9s. In cattle ordinary yearling heifers made 40s to 60s, while those showing Jersey strain went from £4 6s to £6.
