OVERCOMING THE DIFFICULTY. PROVISION FOR EXTRA DAY. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The Christmas holidays difficulty, arising owing to the fact that Christmas Day falls on a Sunday, was mentioned in the House this afternoonMr. Massey said that as was well known, Christmas Day this year fell on a Sunday. With that it is not proposed to interfere, as was done on a previous occasion, but the Government did propose to introduce a Bill which would make the Tuesday after Boxing Day a general holiday, so that the public would not be deprived of the usual quota of holidays.
