CHAUTAUQUA.
The New Zealand Council of Chautauqua has now completed arrangements for the 1922 season, and an array of talent of the very highest standard has been secured. The lecturers include Mr. J. C. Hefbeman, whose inspirational addresses of two years ago are still appreciatively remembered; Colonel John Leader, who has seen 23 years’ service in the British Army and will deal with reconstruction problems through Anglo-Saxon eyes; Dr. F. Loveland, a man of commanding presence, who deals with “The Bolshevist Bubble’’; and Harold R. Peat, one of Canada's foremost lecturers, whose .subject is “Problems of the Dominions.” As an author Harold Peat attained wonderful success, over one million copies of his book “Private Peat" being sold in America alone. The musiea. artists engaged include many weTknown performers from England. Australia and America. The local season
of four days will probably open in New Plymouth early in February, and with a view to completing the preliminary arrangements a meeting of all interested will be held in the Soldiers’ Club at 4 o'clock this (.Wednesday) afternoon. when it is hoped there will be a good attendance.
