“A GOOD TIME COMING.” '1?” ADVICE TO PRODUCERS. ' By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Discussing the meat trade in the course of a speech in the House tonight, Mr. D. Jones (Kaiapoi) expressed pleasure that it had been decided to send an expert to London to look after the producers’ interests there, but we one selling organisation here. This, with Government grading, should give us practically all we require. This was the system followed in Denmark with the greatest advantage. In connection with the proposals to establish rural banks in New Zealand, he suggested the Government should tabulate the result of their experience in connection with the Advances to Settlers’ Department and the soldiers’ settlement scheme, so that they might discover the best means of establishing institutions which would help the small man to go on the land with the great-* est of al] advantages —cheap finance, rte predicted that a good time was coming for producers of meat, when lamb would again reach a shilling per pound. He advised all producers to hold on to meat if possible until the present glut passed away.
