THE PEOPLE’S. EUGENE O’BRIEN TN “GILDED LIES.” To-day’s new bill presents the big Selznick production, “Gilded Lies,” featuring Eugene O’Brien and Martha MansfieW. Adventures in the frozen North, intrigues in the social world, and the swindling machinations of a spurious promoter who fools society and fleeces them with callous ingenuity, combine to crowd thrills into “Gilded Lies,” the latest Selznick picture featuring Eugene O’Brien. The bill includes gazettes, come'dy and final episode of “The Mtjonriders.” TOM MIX TUESDAY NEXT. Tom Mix in the saddle, at the wheel of a racing car, doing stunts with the aid of his horse Tony and leaping a river in his car—in addition to winning the hand of a pretty girl—will be the attraction at this theatre next Tuesday in his latest William Fox western picture, “The Road Demon.” EVERYBODY’S. LAST NIGHT OF “OH, BOY!” What might be described as a filrausieal comedy, concluding to-night at Everybody’s, “Oh, Boy!” as the picture, is the screen version of the. musical comedy that created a furore in the States and in London a season or two back. Usually’ the transmission to the screen ot a musical show means that most of its attraction is lost, but in the case of “Oh, Boy!” the contrary is noticeable, as in this case there is a good story which has all the elemen of bright and light entertainment. June Caprice and Creighton Hale are seen >n the stellar roles, while an important part 6f the musical comedy star is taken by Zeena Keefe. Girls, young and beautiful, and lots of them, seem to be the keynote of this lavish and entertaining feature. The bill includes gazettes, comedy and “The Lost City.” CONNIE TALMADGE MONDAY. The most fascinating series of adventures greets Constance Talmadge in her latest picture, “Good R'eterences,” at Everybody’s on Monday. Although without money, job or references, she has always a large supply of pep and hope on tap, consequentlv jumps with both feet into an exchreive billet as secretary to an aged and religiously inclined wealthy lady. Then the fun starts, for where the Talmadge is the demon of mischief must needs follow. Highly exciting situations develop. If further argument were necessary, it is provided in Liirry r Sernon s “Rent Collector,” easily one of the funniest rough and tumble comedies ever screened.
