DRUNKEN MAN’S ESCAPADE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Dannevirke, Last Night. Cornelius Sullivan, while intoxicated, visited the residence of Robert James Symonds Weber on Thursday evening and requested a shake-down, but the request was refused. Symonds followed Sullivan to see f him off the premises, when Sullivan drew a pocket knife and made a slash at Symonds, who put up his left arm to ward off the blow, receiving an inch-deep wound. Sullivan was arrested and sentenced to two months’ imprisonment with hard labor for common assault.
