CORRECTING A DEFECT. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The Death Duties Amendment Bill was introduced in the House to-day by Governor’s message. The Premier stated that it was a consolidating Bill, with one new provision remedying a defect in the existing Jaw enabling any person to dispose by gift of more property than the Legislature intended. Mr. Massey said if necessary he would treat the measure as one of urgency, and have it put through all stages to-morrdw.. The Bill was reed a first time. (
