NO CHANGE LIKELY. CHOOSING A PREMIER, SUPPORTER OF HARA, By Telegraph.—Frew Assn —Copyright Received Nov. 8, 8.45 pun. Tokio, Nov. 8. Prince Saionji will probably accept the Premiership of Japan, as this is the one hope of saving M. Hara’s programme for the Washington Conference, and it is expected his appointment will shortly be announced. It is believed that, owing to his seventy-seven years, his authority will be nominal rather than actual, but will result in keeping M. Hara’s Cabinet intact. There is an absolute demand for the continuance of the present policy at Washington as well as at home, and Prince Saionji alone seems to be able to do this, since he sponsored M. Hara for the Premiership —Aus.-N-Z. Cable Assn. ANOTHER ARREST. IHE ALLEGED INSTIGATOR. Received Nov. 8, 11.45 p m Tokio, Nov. 8. According to the newspaper Nichi Nichi the police, with the assistance of the stationmaster at Otsuka, have found Eijoro Hashimoto, who is believed to be the instigator of M. Hara’s assassination. He has been arrested. LONG PREMEDITATED. ASSASSIN’S CONFESSION. Tokio. Nov. 7. It transpires that M. Hara's assailant confessed that the assassination was long premeditated. He had shadowed the Premier looking for an opportunity whenever he left a station, but failed on account of the strict police guard. Nakoaka says he purchased a dagger during the summer, since when he had been watching for an opportunity.
