COMPANIES’ RESIDENCE.
; HEAD OFFICE, NOT A BRANCH. ■ By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Nov. 8. > An interesting decision was given by Mr. Justice Reed as to what is the official residence of a. company which has numerous branches, in a suit between the National Bank and Dalgety and Co. The ease was set down to be heard in Napier, but the Judge decided that the official residence of both parties was in Wellington, where both had their head offices. He ruled that it would be ridiculous to hold that the company resided in a hundred different places because it had branches there.
