CHINESE DEFAULT.
LOAN INTEREST UNPAID. By Telegraph.—Press Assn—Copyright. New York, Nov. 1. The American group of the Chinese Consortium announced that China had defaulted in connection with the 5,500,000 dollar loan made by Chicago financiers. China failed to avail herself of a new loan of 16 millions offered to’ provide funds to pay off the old loan.-
