YORK DEFEATS AUSTRALASIA. By Telegraph.—Press Assn. —Copyright. London, Nov. 2. ’ At league football York defeated Australasia by y points to 3. The Australasians made the poorest showing of the tour against York. The scrummaging was poor, but there was a good deal of wide, effective passing. The play was sometimes rough, and several men were sent off. The game was fairly even in the first half, but the visitors were outplayed in the second spell. The half-time score was: York 3, Australasia 3; final, York 9, Australasia 3.
