COMMUNISM.
GROWTH IN BRITAIN. AIDED BY UNEMPLOYMENT. By Telegraph.—Press Assn. —Copyright. London, Oct. 30. The Australian Press Association understands that there is growing anxiety regarding the increased activity in Communistic circles. It is (admitted officially that at least 200 disturbed Lord Derby’s meeting, including Germans. It is also believed that there are more ex-service men among the Communists than was the case three months ago. Grave unemployment and the consequent distress are aiding the movement, the progress of which would be checked if relief was immediately available.
My. Grattan Doyle tabled questions in the House of Commons asking if the Home Secretary was aware that active Russian Bolshevik revolutionaries are attached to the majority of the Communist clubs in England, that recruiting fox- an armed force is in progress and that a secret order was issued prior to the Unemployed demonstration to resist the police and create as much disorder as possible;
