APPOINTMENT FOR SIR J. ALLEN. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyrigtt. Received Oct. 25, 5.5 p.m. London, Oct. 24. Sir James Allen, New Zealand High Commissioner, is accepting the League of Nations’ nomination as a representative of the Empire on the commission in control of the League Budget for the current year; also to advise on finances for the ensuing year. A preliminary meeting will be held at Geneva on November 21, and an executive meeting will take place in April.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
