GRAVE DISORDER.
REVOLT IN PORTUGAL. COUNTER REVOLUTION. FIGHTING REPORTED. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received Oct. 24, 11.30 p.m. London, Oct. 24. Advices from the Daily Chronicle’s Paris correspondent state that grave disorders are occurring in Oporto. The garrison, rejecting the new regime, are organising a counter-revolution. They hold the rocky mountains on the right bank of the Douro, and they seized the bridge carrying the railway towards Lisbon. A spasmodic fight is reported in Lisbon, but supporters of the new Government are breaking down opposition.

General Rosa, commanding the Oporto division, is reported to be marehing upon Lisbon. —Reuter Service. WARSHIPS ARRIVE. Received Oct. 24, 9.15 p.m. Lisbon, Oct. 24. British, French and Spanish warships have entered the Tagus. PARIS BOMB OUTRAGE. AN OUTBREAK FEARED. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received Oct. 24, 7.10 p.m. London., Oct. 23. The Daily Telegraph’s Paris correspondent says it has been established that Friday’s bomb was of English manufacture; the fragments are identical with those found after the Embassy explosion. Mr. Herrick (American Ambassador) received 500 threatening letters, and many American Consulates were likewise threatened. The Central News’ correspondent states that, anticipating Communist disturbances, 10,000 troops prepared for immediate action. The day passed quietly, but at Marseilles Communists bombed the police, who arrested twenty persons.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
