PROGRESS OF SCHEMES. By Telegraph.—Press Assn —Copyright. London, Oct. 21. Tn the House of Commons, Mr. MacNamara, dealing with his section of the Government’s proposals, stated that 48 applications from 28 local authorities had already been received, while the circular of the Ministry of Agriculture, sent out on Saturday, seeking suggestions for assistance for agricultural workers outride the Insurance Act, had produced five schemes.
