A REPORT CONTRADICTED.

BY THE KAUPOKONUI COMPANY

The secretary of the Kaupokonui Dairy Co., Ltd., writes under date of the 21st inst. as follows: —

“The attention of the directors of my company having been drawn to a cable message which appears in your issue of the 15th inst. relating to an alleged sale at London of cheese belonging to this company, and to an alleged loss of £40,000 upon such cheese, I have been instructed by them to inform you that they have received a cablegram from their London agents which does not in any way confirm the Press Association’s cable which appeared in your paper.”
