MOTOR-CAR BURNT.

FALL OVER EMBANKMENT. • OCCUPANTS NOT INJURED. By Telegraph—Press Association. Te Awamutu, Last Night. A motor car was destroyed by fire last night, the occupants having a narrow escape. The car was owned and driven by Peter Jelavich, and there were four other passengers. At the top of a steep hill the lights failed, and the driver being unable to locate his position on the road, the car crossed an embankment, falling twenty feet. The occupants were all pinned beneath the car, which -burst into flames. The driver first extricated himself and then dragged the others to safety. A doctor was summoned, but the injuries were not serious. The car was completely destroyed. This is the second car burnt here within a week.
