FARMERS’ VIEW OF POSITION. By Telegraph—Press Association. Invercargill, Last Night. The provincial executive of the Farmers’ Union to-day considered economic situation and the recent- 'deputation of producers to the Premier. Several speakers declared that the sitqption had not been over-stated by the deputation, and the resolution supporting the Dominion executive and the deputation’s presentation of the case was carried. Mr. E. Bowmar, a member of the deputation, explained that Mr. W. D. Hunt’s statement had been considered by the producers’ committee and approved as expressing their views. .Mr. Polson had read to the Premier figures compiled from the digest of statistics, showing that the Government had a .substantial deficit to date. Mr. Massey took the paper from Mr. saying he would not permit the figures to be published until they were corrected, and they had not been published yet. A resolution was carried assuring the Premier of the support of the farming community if he attacked the problem courageously.
