REPATRIATION.

NEW PLYMOUTH COMMITTEE. A meeting of the New Plymouth District Repatriation Committee was held yesterday afternoon. Present: Messrs. W. J. Chaney (chairman), H.*R. Cattley, T. Furlong, F. Hartnell, and the secretary (Mr. A. S. Allen). Aq apology for absence was received from Mr. C. H. Weston. The secretary reported that since the last meeting nine loans totalling £lOOO had been repaid. The executive committee’s action in granting five furniture loans of £5O each, a loan of £3O for milk cans, and another of £lO for carpenter’s tools was confirmed. Three applications for indulgence were approved. An advance of £3OO for a motor truck was recommended for approval, and a loan of £3O to acquire furniture was granted. An application for an advance of £l5 was deferred for further investigation.
