CYCLING.
ELTHAM ROAD RACE. The cycle road race Feld at Eltham on Thursday under the auspices of the Methodist Spring Fair Committee proved a success despite the wet weather. The arrangements in ••onncction with the race werd undertaken by the Eltham Athletic and Cycle Racing Chib. Messrs. A. Beesley and H. A Nuttall were the handicappers, and the officials of the any were: Starter, Mr. W. S. Heyes; timekeeper. Mr. Nuttall; judges, Messrs. Beesley and H. Andrews; stewards, Messrs. Manley and Davis. There were six entries, viz., Wheeler (scr), Seabright (30sec), Page (1 min 30sec), Whiting (2min), McNab (2min 3Csec), and Burrows (3min). The riders came in in the following order:—Mcqjab i. Burrows 2, Whiting 3, Wheeler, SeaJjright, an-! Page. The two first-mentioned fought Mit a good finish, McNab winning by the narrow margin of half a wheel. The winner’s riding time was 37nxin.
