WEDDINGS.

CAMERON—JAMES. A pretty wedding was celebrated on October 3, at the Presbyterian Church, Manaia, when Doris May, second daughter of Mrs. James, of Inaha, was married to Alexander Buchan, son of Mr. Cameron, of Kapuni. The Rev. D. Smith pe.rformed the ceremony, and Miss L. Dickson, of Hawera, presided at the organ. The bride, who was given away by her uncle, Mr. A. James, looked charming in a gown of white crepe de chine, with silver trimmings and orange blossoms. She also wore the usual veil and carried a pretty shower bouquet. The bridesmaid, Miss Muriel James, was attired in an apricot gown of crepe de chine, handsomely embroidered, with royal blue hat trimmed with berries. She also carried a shower bouquet, the gi£t of Mrs. E. C. Evans, Auroa. Miss Lorraine James and Miss Winnie Cameron, who acted as flower girls, were dressed alike in cream lace frocks, and both carried flower baskets. The bridegroom was attended by his brother, Mr. W. Cameron, as best man, and Mr. L. James, brother of the bride, as groomsman, A reception was afterwards held at the residence of the bride’s mother, fhe presents were numerous and costly, including many cheques. Later in the day the happy couple left for Wanganui, the bride travelling in a nigger brown costume.—btar. LETT—GIBB. A very quiet wedding was celebrated at the Methodist Church, Inglewood, on Wednesday, the contracting- parties being Mr. Reginald V. Lett, late of Inglewood, and Miss Pearlie A. Gibb, third daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M. Gibb. of Auckland. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Mr. Chambers. The bride, who was given away by Mr. W. Foster, was dressed in a navy blue tailored costume. Mr. Gordon Lett, of Hawera, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. After the ceremony the friends of the bride and bridegroom returned to the Egmont dining rooms. After the wedding breakfast the newlymarried couple left for Wanganui, where the honeymoon will be spent.
