EVERYBODY’S. LAST NIGHT OF “MID-CHANNEL.” A crowded house greeted the initial screening last night of Clara Kimball Young’s latest and greatest production “Mid-Channel,” Sir Arthur Pinero’s famous stage play., The strength, timeliness and the intensity of “Mid-Channel” needs no comment, as the play has already won world-wide praise. It is enough to say that Clara Kimball Young reveals a dramatic magnetism that is nothing short of electric in its force. Intending patrons should be early to-night or reserve at Collier’s. GEORGES CARPENTIER FRIDAY AND SATURDAY NEXT. The elite of society forms the background for “The Wonder Man,” the super feature, starring Georges Carpentier, idol of France and European heavyweight champion, which will open at Everybody’s theatre on Friday. This unusual drama of society, promises a revelation in motion pictures of the newer and better sort. The versatility of Carpentier, according to eminent critics will prove a great surprise to lovers of the cinema art. Based on an intriguing story of love and mystery in which Carpentier is given opportunity to display his capacity as a boxer, a sportsman, and as a .gentleman of the first order, “The Wonder Man” should prove to be one of the most commendable productions that Everybody’s theatre has ever produced. The Box plans open on Wednesday at Collier’s. THE PEOPLE’S. PEARL WHITE IN “KNOW YOUR MEN.” Pearl White, famous film star, will be at the People’s theatre to-night in “Know Your Men,” a William Fox production. This is an emotional drama of a high type and is replete with big situations. It is the story of a girl’s awakening to the realities of life and its hardships just when she was happiest. When the blow falls it carries with it her father, her fortune and even the mah she loves —who turns out to be a cad. ■ Her subsequent life is an effort to make I up for the light moments she frittered ' away, but again, when she has a chance to be happy with a husband who really loves her, she is driven to misfortune and desperation. The bill includes a big Sunshine comedy “Roaring Lions on Parade,’ and Fox gazettes. Mabel Normand will appear at this theatre on Thursday in “Pinto,” her latest “Goldwyn” release.
