DEVELOPING TRADE.
A JAPANESE PROPOSAL. By Telegraph.—Press Asjn —Copyright. Received Oct. 17, 7.35 p.m. Tokio, Oct. 13. The Japanese armament delegation, which has left Yokohama for the United States, is accompanied by a delegation of business men under Baron Shibusawa, whose aim is the formation of a commercial association to develop trade, diminishing competition by agreements. The newspapers state that the armament delegates are carrying Japan’s armament policy to Washington. A copy of the delegates’ instructions, it is understood, has been handed to the American Ambassador. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
