CLAIM OF THE GREEKS.

THEIR HOLD IN ASIA MINOR. By Telegraph.—Press Assn —Copyright. Received Oct. 17, 5.5 p.m. London, Oct. 17. The Athens correspondent of the Daily Telegraph states that M. Gounaris gained a vote of confidence by 227 votes to 13. M. Gounaris said Greece occupied six-fold more territory in Asia Minor than the Treaty of Sevres provided, besides almost the entire railways. Turkey refused to submit, and it was necessary for Greece to reach a more complete understanding with the three great Powers holding the mandate, for which purpose he will visit and consult them. —Aus.-N.Z.
