Hawera is hopeful of having .'our senior teams in the ’ Saturday competition, and there is also a likelihood of two Wednesday teams being formed. It is also proposed to have a senior and junior competiThe Saturday half-holiday in New Plymouth will make it difficult for Inglewood to enter a team in the northern competition, and it is probable that a central division will be formed, comprising Inglewood and Eltham, which has also suffered in the past owing to the holiday in the other towns in South Taranaki being held on Wednesday. In Stratford and Midhirst cricket has been practically dead during the past few years, but it is stated that there is every chance of fairly strong teams being established in each place. In North Taranaki the competition will probably be confined to the New Plymouth teams and Urenui. 3he formation of the new West End team should give added interest to the competition, whilst the Inclusion of Urenui will also be appreciated by cricketers, who always look forward to the visit of the coastal team. Urenui will probably enter with a. senior and junior eleven. Tikorangi, which has played a prominent part in Taranaki cricket in the past, finds it impossible to get a team to enter the competitions—at any rate, before the New Year—members being unabje to spare the necessary time away from their farms during the busy season.
