The Italian Government, having intervened in the Burgenland dispute, a conference of delegates from Austria-Hun-o-ary met at Venice to adjust the situation. The Austrian delegates stated they were not authorised to conclude an agreement until the Hungarians evacuate Burgenland, while the Hungarian Premier demanded the town of Ordenburg as a security for the payment of 5,000,000 kronen.
