WEDDING.

KIRKWOOD—PELLEW. A very pretty wedding took place at St. Mary’s Church, New Plymouth, at 5 pun. on Wednesday, between Claribel, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. Pellew, of New Plymouth, to Malcolm Stuart, third son of Mrs. A. J. Kirkwood, Royal Oak, Auckland. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a dainty frock of shell pink georgette, beaded in handsome design of grapes, with girdle of pearls. The veil was of pale pink with Mechlin prettily worked, and finished with coronet of pearls and silver leaves. She carried a bouquet of pink and white blooms, with a shower of narrow ribbon streamers. Miss Marjorie Pellew, sister of the bride, was chief'bridesmaid, and wore a charming frock of egg blue crepe de chine and mauve hat, and carried a bouquet of pink and mauve flowers. Two little flower girls, Joan and Betty Cramp, of 4 Auckland, cousins of the bride, looked sweet in pale pink georgette frocks over net and lace and pink poke bonnets of gaged georgette and carried posies of yellow primroses. The bridegroom was attended by his brother. Mr. Ronald Kirkwood, as best man. A reception was afterwards held at Kawaroa Park Bungalow. Mrs. Pellew received the guests in a handsome frock of navy charmeuse, with touches of jade and gold, and navy and gold hat, and carried a bouquet of red tulips.

Amongst those present were Mrs. Kirkwood, mother of the bridegroom, who wore a navy costume and floral toque, and carried & bouquet of lilac; Mrs. Andrews (Auckland), navy costume, black hat; Mrs. Cramp (Auckland), navy taffeta with small hat in black ciri ribbon and jade; Miss Clarice Andrews, pale blue taffeta frock and Leghorn hat; Miss Hazel Pearson (Wellington), primrose taffeta and lace frock, with moleskin coat and hat of corresponding shade; Miss Mavis Kirkwood (Auckland), fawn costume, vieux rose hat. Mr. and Mrs. Pellew entertained a large number of guests at a most enjoyable dance.
