SENATOR KNOX DEAD.
A PROMINENT AMERICAN. LEADER OF PEACE MOVES. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received Oct. 13, 8.5 p.m. vVashington, Oct. 12. Senator Phillander Knox, of Pennsylvania, died from a paralytic stroke while on the way to the dining-room in his home here this evening. He returned from England yesterday after a three weeks’ health trip, and was feeling well. He is an ex-Secretary of State, and served under Mackinlay, Roosevelt, and Taft. He was the author of the peace resolutions in the Senate.
