MOUNT EVEREST.

PRACTICABLE ROUTE FOUND. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. London, Oct. 10. The latest advices from the Mount Everest expedition state that the route to the summit by the north-east has been found practicable. Six members of the expedition, with 26 coolies, camped in the bend of the Kharta Valley at an altitude of 22,500 feet. Three members of the party ascended, the col connecting Everest with the north peak to 23,000 feet and found the route possible, but "were driven back by a furious gale lasting four days. They are awaiting favorable weather for the final climb.
