BRITISH WARSHIPS TENDERS. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. London, Oct. 9. The Admiralty is extending by a week the date of receiving final tenders for four big battleships. Shipbuilders are anxious to secure the contracts, but, owing to the fluctuating costs of labor and material, it is difficult to submit tenders. They urge that the Admiralty should pay a percentage profit on the ultimate cost of construction. PERSIAN REBELS DEFEATED. Delhi, Oct. 10. Mohammed Tagi, leader of the Khorassan has been defeated and killed at Kuchan The Persian Government claims to have proof that he was seditiously corresponding with. Afghanistan and the Bolsheviks at Tashkent. The Cossacks force sent to oppose Kuchak Khan is now nearing Resht.
