RIFLE SHOOTING.

THE TARANAKI ASSOCIATION. A meeting of the executive of the Taranaki Rifle Association was held last night, when the arrangement of the programme for the 1922 meeting was considered. A suggestion made by Mr. D. Roots (flatten) with regard to increasing the entrance fee and making a corresponding rise in the prize .money was discussed, and was finally adopted with amendments. The result will be that the prise money at the next meeting will be raised from about £l7O to over £3OO. Entrance for tyros will be 355, and for other competitors £3 7s 6d. The programme will be issued In booklet form. If sufficient financial support is forthcoming the association also intends to include a series of matches for senior cadets. A donation of £ 1 was received with thanks from Mr. G. IL Smith (Kapuni). Mr. D. Roots (Hawera) has promised £5.
