TE KAHU RECEIVES DEATH WARRANT. The Governor-General’s warrant for the execution of Hakaraia Te Kahu, who was sentenced to death at Hamilton on September 16 for the murder of Patrick Richard Elliott, at Ongaroto, was received from Wellington on Tuesday afternoon by the Auckland sheriff, Mr. A. Stubbs. The execution has been fixed by Mr. Stubbs to take place at the Mount Eden prison at eight o’clock next Monday morning. It is the sheriff’s duty to personally inform a condemned man of the time fixed for carrying out a death sentence. Mr. Stubbs discharged this office on Tuesday afternoon.
