The Times, in a leader reviewing the work of the League of Nations, takes the view that it is justifying its existence and gives an affirmative answer to the question: “Is the peace of the world more secure than when the League was founded’”; “Are its methods appropriate to the conditions with which it is called upon to deal?” The Times adds: “We may well be satisfied with what we have 'succeeded in accomplishing to date. The chief danger is in attempting too much. If the. ? avoids this we believe the time will come when we shall wonder how we got on without it.”
