Messrs. Watson and Gooder, A.A.N.Z.1.A., Registered Architects, who have an extensive practice in the Wairarapa district, have opened a branch office in the N.Z. Association, who have in hand a large re-building programme throughput the district; shop and offices for. Messrs. Hallenstein Bros. Ltd.; eompdete re-modelling of the Hotel Midland Ltd., buildings for the St. Matthew’-s 1 School for girls; office premises for the Carterton P. and A.,Society as Well as a large number of residences, including that of Mr. A. P. Whatman. Instructions have been received by the firm to put in hand the erection of a new .three-storey reinforced concrete building for the Public Trust Office in Mastertori. Mr. F. E. Gooder, late of Messrs. Penty and Lawrence’, the well-known Wellington architects, will be in charge of the New Plymouth office. Mr. Gooder spent three years in London with practising firms, and in the foremost schools of architectural design.
