SOME NEW PROPOSALS. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Nigh', The registration of motor was discussed at to-day’s sitting of the conference of the Municipal Association. Mr. F. T. Bellringer (New Plymouth) moved that the Motor Regulation Act be amended to provide that all registrations of motor vehicles be Renewed annually. The remit was carried. The following motion by Mr. Luckie (Wellington) was carried: “That this conference, while approving generally df the principles of t-fae Motor Vehicles Bill, is opposed to those provisions which provide that registration and license fees payable thereunder are to be paid to the General Government. and

urges that the Bill should bd amended to provide that a due proportion of such fees commensurate with the actual amounts expended on streets and roads within their boundaries, should be paid to the local bodies.”
