COTTON CROP FAILS.
BIG DECREASE IN AMERICA By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received Oct. 4, 5.5 p.m. Washington, Oct. 3. The Government reports show the condition of the cotton crop to be 42 per cent., or 12 per cent, below the worst previous record. There will be little middle crop end practically no top crop from the trees. The weather and the boll weevil are re-sponsible.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
