THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL.
VISIT TO NORTH TARANAKI. TRIP TO MOUNT EGMONT. A visit to North Taranaki will be made by the Governor-General and Lady Jellicoe this month. Their Excellencies will arrive in New Plymouth by motor car about six o’clock on the evening of Thursday, 27th inst., a-id will leave again by the mail train on the following Monday.
A programme for the visit will be* ar-, ranged this week and submitted for approval. On the afternoon of Friday, the 28th., Lady Jellicoe is to perform the official opening of the Clarke Memorial Hostel, and on Saturday Their Excellencies propose to visit Inglewood, Waitera and Mt. Egmont. The whole of Friday will therefore probably be spent in New Plymouth.
