AUSTRIAN EXTRAVAGANCE.

FLOOD OF PAPER MONEY. Vienna, Sept. 21. Indignant at the recent excessive speculation in exchange, a big crowd attempted to storm the Bourse. Several brokers were maltreated, and bank windows were smashed. Herr Bauer, former State Secretary, declares that the incessant printing of new bank notes accounted for the speculation. It is stated that the Austro-Hungarian bank is issuing more than 2,000,000,000 crowns (£80,000,000 nominally) in new notes weekly, while the national deficit is considerably more than 100,000,000,000 crowns.
