TEST OF ENDURANCE. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyrlgtt. Received October 1, 5.5 pari, London, Sept. 30. In the Arab Horse Society’s test oi endurance and fitness over a hilly course round Lewes, horses carrying thirteen stone were ridden for sixty miles daily on five consecutive days, with two halts of thirty and ten minutes respectively. The winner was Mr. H. Clarke’s Belka, which covered the distance in 37 hours 38 minutes 49 sec onds. Eight horses started and two finished.
BeiKa was placed third in the previous year’s test of fifty miles daily for live days.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
