ANZAC DAY.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) September 28.

Business men are interesting themselves in reviving the Waitara Chamber of Commerce, which did good work before the war. Mr. Vaughan has consented to take the lead, and a public meeting is being held to launch the Chamber once again. It is hoped a strong Chamber will be got together to further the interests of the town and district.

Four cases of twins have occurred in Waitara recently.

Mr. R. Fairweather has sold out his interests in the Club Hotel to Mr. A. Keith, of Palmerston North.

Mr. W. Tusin, who has been in partnership with Mr. Fletcher in the butchery business, has sold his interests to Mr. Fletcher.

Mr. T. C. Roberts, acting telegraph engineer, and a brother of Mr. Roberts, of the local post office, is making an official tour of the district.

Mr. W. G. Marlow is indisposed, and has been confined to his home for the past week.
