ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
CYCLIST DIES FROM INJURIES. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Gore, Sept. 26. Christopher J. Brown, relieving train examiner, died as the result of injuries to his head through a motor-cycle accident yesterday. His tool-bag jammed in the wheel. Deceased was unmarried and aged thirty. He came from Christchurch. A CASE OF POISONING. Dunedin, Sept. 26. James Walker, shearer, died in the hospital on Saturday. He was admitted on July 27, suffering from the effects of poison. It is stated that deceased denied having taken poison and said he met two men on July 26, who gave him a drink. Medical evidence showed that there was corrosion of the deceased's throat through the poison. The inquest was adjourned.
