NORTH TARANAKI v. SOUTH. WIN FOR THE NORTH. The annual match between North Taranaki and South Taranaki took place on the Hawera Club’s links yesterday, and resulted in a win for North Taranaki after a very interesting contest by two games in the four-ball match in the morning, and by one game in the afternoon. Detailed results (North being mentioned first in each ease) are:— MORNING PLAY. Chong and Mackay lost to J. and L. Quin, 3 up and 2. Johns and Robertshaw beat Pulley and Ryan, 1 up. : Bewley and Smith beat Elliott and Ross, 3 up and 2. Gudgeon and Weston all square with C. H. Walker and Sutton. Glasgow and O’Carroll beat Stewart and Pratt, 5 up and 4. Austin and Carmine beat Cox and Fletcher, 2 up. Nicoll and McQuade lost to Salmon and Finlay, 3 up and 2. Thomson and Crapper beat Duffill anri L. Walker, 2 up. Broome and Elliott lost to H. McKenzie and Harrison, 1 up. AFTERNOON MATCH. Chong beat J. Quin, 2 up and 1. Mackay lost to L. Quin, 4 up and 2. , Johns lost to Pulley, 1 up. Robertshaw beat Ryan, 3 up and 2. Bewley lost to Elliott, 2 up and 1. Smith all square with Ross. Gudgeon lost to C. H. W-alker, 4 up and 3. Weston lost to Sutton', 4 up and 3. Glasgow beat Stewart, 3 up and 1. OCarrcll beat Pratt, 2 up and 1. Austin lost to Cox, 6 up and 4. McQuade beat Salmon, 3 up and 2.
