Miss Cecil Leitch defeated Miss Mollis Mcßride in the final of the Canadian women’s championship over 36 holes, by 17 up and 15 to play. She eliminated Miss Alexa Sterling in the semi-finals. NEW PLYMOUTH v. WAITARA. An inter-club match between teams representing the New Plymouth and Waitara Clubs was played at Waitara on Saturday, New Plymouth winning by three games to two. The visitors were hospitably entertained, and an enjoyable afternoon was spent. Details of the play are: Glasgow aud Fowler (Waitara) beat Butcher and Bewley fNew Plymouth), 5 and 3. Sampson and Hayhurst (Waitara) lost to Weston and Crapper (New Plymouth), 6 and 5. Tate and Johns (Waitara) lost to Thomson and Quickfall (New Plymouth), 3 and 2. Jaggs and W. H. Fuller (Waitara) lost to Bloxam and Anderson (New Plymouth), 3 and 2. Allison and C. N. Fuller (Waitara) beat Quilliatn and Hutchings (New Plymouth), 3 and 2. ELTHAM v. MANAIA. On Friday the lady members of the Eltham Golf Club met the Manaia ladies at the. latter place. The match resulted in a victory for Manaia by four games to three. The, scores were as follow (Manaia being mentioned first): Miss Jones lost to Miss H. Wilson. Miss Mead beat Mrs. G. W. Bennett. Mrs. H. Christie beat Miss L. Quin. Mrs. Craig beat Miss Cooper. Mrs. Mauneell be.'d Miss C. Quin. Mrs. J. Christie, lost to Miss M. Quin. Miss Newing lost to Miss Wanklyn.
