Further efforts resulted in a serum five yards out, but Star did not get there. Later, on two occasions forward passes spoilt promising movements. The next addition to the score came when Betts kicked a goal from a penalty. Just afterwards Tukapa backs, failing to take cleanly, enabled Fetch to score under the posts and Betts added the major points. Another opportunity for Star came afterwards when they were awarded a penalty, but Betts’ kick went outside the. posts.
