RUSSIAN FAMINE.
FOOD TRAIN DERAILED. By Telegraph.— Press Assn —vOD»right. London, Sept. 21. A food train from the Ukraine, destined for the famine-stricken Volga urea, was wrecked near Kieff. Twentyseven were killed and thirty injured. The accident is attributed to the destruction of the line by Petlura’s insurgent bands.
DONATION FROM THE POPE. Received Sept. 22, 9.15 p.m. Geneva, Sept. 22. The Pope has sent the president of the League a million lire, with an appeal to all States to act promptly in wsirting famine-stricken Russia.
