An official return shows that since January 1 six million workers have sustained reductions totalling £3,500,000 weekly. Three hundred and twenty thousand workers have obtained increases amounting to £73,000 weekly. THE HOHENZOLLERNS. Received Sept. 19, 5.5 p.m. London, Sept. 19. The Daily Express’ Doorn correspondent states that the Hohenzollerns, who are still residing in Germany, are preparing for a general exodus to Holland and Switzerland, owing to the instability of the German political ituation. The Communist Party has expelled Sylvia Pankhurst owing to her refusal to allow them executive control of the journal Workers’Dreadnought, which she founded and edited. She was forced to cease publication owing to financial difficulties. HERRINGS FOR GERMANY. Received Sept. 19, 5.5 p.m. London, Sept. 19. Grimsby has sent 600,000 cases of herrings to Germany, the first shipment since the war.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. BREWERIES AMALGAMATE. Received Sept. 19, 5.5 p.m. London, Sept. 19. Peter Walker’s and Robert Crane’s breweries are amalgamating. It is believed £7,000,000 is involved.
