QUEENSLAND MAY BE ISOLATED.

By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyrigtt. Received Sept. 18, 5.5 p.m. Brisbane, Sept. 18. The Commissioner of Public Health announces that no fresh cases of plague among human beings have been reported so far. Eleven plague infected rats have been found. Precautions are actively being taken, and it is anticipated the ‘outbreak has been mastered.

Melbourne, Sept. 18. Dr. Cumpston has received advices that a further plague infected rat has been found in Brisbane, and he has issued a proclamation declaring Queensland an infected State. This means that •Queensland may be isolated from other States.
