VERDICT AT THE INQUEST. MANSLAUGHTER CHARGE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Received Sept. 16, 5.5 p.m. New York, Sept. 15. The Coroner’s jury at San Francisco re-, turned a verdict of manslaughter against Arbuckle, who is still held in gaol with four charges against him—two of murder and two of manslaughter—but in view of the jury’s verdict the prosecution is likely to ask for the trial of Arbuckle on a charge of manslaughter instead of murder. Arbuckle was greatly affected by the Coroner’s verdict, turning pale and mopping his brow.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. ARBUCKLE’S £5OOO CAR. HIS CREDITORS ANXIOUS. ■ Received Sept. 17, 1.30 a.m. New York, Sept. 15. The Federal officials are seeking to confiscate Arbuckle's £5OOO motor car, because it conveyed liquor from Los Angeles to San Francisco for the fatal party. Arbuckle’s creditors are starting suits against him for 100,000 dollars.
